What Are Cushins™ Pellets?
Cushins pellets are formulated to provide significant nutritional support for the pituitary gland, insulin regulation, gut health and hoof health.
Agnus Castus (Chastetree berry) is thought to promote support for the endocrine (hormone) system, and magnesium and cinnamon provide support for insulin regulation and control of blood sugar.
Vitamin E and Rosehips provide significant antioxidant support to help with oxidative stress and immune support, and other key vitamins including Folic Acid and Vitamin B6 help to promote general health.
A full 20 mg of biotin, together with MSM plus key amino acid methionine help to support hoof health .
Natural prebiotics plus a live probiotic help to support gut health, and Ginseng helps to support an active outlook in older horses and ponies.
CushinsTM Pellets are suitable for all horses and ponies, and may be fed alone, or added to a small fibre feed.

My 29 year old has been on this for 10+ years and you wouldn’t know he had Cushins. He is a fussy eater but I have never had a problem with him eating this

Tyler has had cushings for a number of years. This year his blood test result showed that his hormone level was over 300. I increased his dosage of Prascend, but after the second blood test the result hadn't changed. I put him on Cushins Crumbles and he seems less lethargic, so hoping the next blood test will have good results.
He is also a fussy eater and has no problem eating this product.

My 38 year old pony is lively and happy. He does have a long coat, but otherwise looks and behaves like a much younger horse. I am sure that Cushins Crumbles helps give him that extra sparkle. He refuses food if he thinks there is medicine in it, but he does not seem to notice the Cushins Crumbles in his feed. It's a great product.

I bought this product recommended by a friend my ponies blood results have been in the 80s which is high so she had been on parcend. Since feeding her crumbles (and on her parcend) her bloods have dropped down back to normal and hasnt had an attack of lami since. My pony is a fussy eater and when weather gets warm she tends not to eat it so i keep it in my fridge which reduces the smell (it does smell nice to me)and eats it

Can this product be used instead of the medication ?
Or is it to be used along side the medication ?
This is a complimentary supplement that can be used to aid the support of Cushing's disease and it's effects. It should not be used instead of medical treatment as it will not replace it's effect. It can be used alongside Cushing's medications.

Is it safe to give to a horse that doesn't have cushing disease.can it be used to prevent it
This product would be safe to give to a horse without cushings disease but would not be helpful at all. Cushings disease is caused by age related changes in the pituitary gland at the base of the brain. Unfortunately there is no known medication to prevent this from happening. The good news is that it can be successfully treated in most horses once they have it by Pergolide (prascend).
