Acquired by Lallemand Inc in 2001, Biotal services the needs of agricultural businesses in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Scandinavia and Russia and is the sole distributor of Lallemand feed additives in the UK.
Biotal is headquartered in Cardiff, Wales with a local production and distribution facility at Thirsk in Yorkshire. Biotal is FAMI-QS and UFAS accredited and the Thirsk facility is GMP and FEMAS accredited. All Biotal products are manufactured to ISO 9001-2000 standards. Our UK R&D and QC laboratory is also based at our Cardiff headquarters.
Lallemand Inc, headquartered in Montreal, is privately owned and is one of the world’s largest producers of yeast and bacteria for use in the animal nutrition, beverage, baking and bio-ethanol industries. Present on 5 continents, Lallemand has 24 production facilities and employs over 2,800 people at 42 sites.
