Shires

An adaptable bit, the lower ring produces more leverage if required. The mouth is made of many links making it difficult to lean against. Fit ¼ - ½ wider than usual as the mouthpiece needs to curl slightly around the lips for full potential. Sweet iron makes the bit very palatable and encourages salivation and softening. Mouthpiece thickness: 16mm. Cheek height: 145mm (4.5"-5"), 180mm (5.5"-6").

How should this bit be fitted? Most Waterfords are fitted half size bigger so is that the case for this too?

Fit ¼ - ½ wider than usual as the mouthpiece needs to curl slightly around the lips for full potential. Sweet iron makes the bit very palatable and encourages salivation and softening. Mouthpiece thickness: 16mm. Cheek height: 145mm (4.5"-5"), 180mm (5.5"-6").
