The tip is unnecessarily long, this doesn't make it difficult to use or anything but just seems a bit odd when only the top 1/4 goes into the stud hole. However the wire is strong and you can twist it in and out of the thread in the hole so it does clean very effectively (but only if you have already removed all of the dirt from the hole). I only used it once (8 stud holes) and it already looks a bit bent and dirty so I'm not sure how long it will last but for less than £2 you can't really complain
