I went with the description which would make you believe it was sturdy to say the least. Absolutely not. It was a soft rubber ball with some string stitched through it. My dog destroyed it in around 20 seconds. Not exactly cheap either

I was very disappointed, within 2 minutes my Jack Russell had pulled the rope part of the toy out, which enabled him to then chew a chunk of rubber off the ball, within 30 minutes it was in the bin.

I very rarely review products, but this has proven to be the only ball I have found that lasts months and months, even when larger dogs pinch Bracken's ball and give it a really good chew, it survives!
