Hilton Herbs Bye Bye Itch has been formulated to maintain skin integrity and help soothe irritation. This is likely to be more of a problem in summer when seasonal allergens are in the air. Containing essential fatty acids and a blend of specially selected herbs, Bye Bye Itch is available as either a powder supplement or liquid lotion.
The powder supplement is designed to be fed to horses & ponies in the months prior to and throughout the 'itching' season, however, it can be given through the winter at a reduced rate. The mix has been extensively trialled in the UK where 93% of the trial participants reported that feeding Bye Bye Itch had significantly helped their horse or pony.

We tried Bye Bye Itch supplement and skin lotion for the first time this year and have been very impressed with the results so far. The supplement took a couple of weeks before we noticed any effect but it's well worth persisting because our horse's itchiness has reduced significantly and any itchy spots he has now we treat with the lotion and it really seems to work. Amazing!

Another Westie owner highlighted this product as their Westie had skin allergies. I have been using it on my Westie to help with the allergies on his skin. It is a lovely lotion which spreads through the fur very easily. I use this in conjunction with t tree shampoo. I will definitely be purchasing this again. I have only been using it a couple of weeks, applying once a day but to be honest I should be doing it twice a day really. As it's a natural product I am confident it will not harm my Westies skin.

Used this on my horses tail as he kept rubbing it, the skin became really dry and the hair was coming out. After less than a week, what a difference!! The skin was moisturised and looked much more healthy, a few weeks down the line and the hair has started to grow back. Will definitely buy again!

Within a couple of days of being on HH bye bye itch my mare showed a reduction in itching. Now she's only bothered when she's in season and in between times I can even leave her rug off.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Hilton Herbs Bye Bye Itch for Horses, including answers from our team.
Jan Rees
I have an 18 yr old companion mini Shetland mare. She has been with me since May this year. She has clearly been a sweetitch sufferer, ( mane and tail rubbed and the skin in some areas is thicker and crusty due to rubbing over time I guess. Regular soothing baths and creams applied. As Autumn coming on her coat is thickening.
Ould you suggest a product I could give her as a supplement to try to ease her itching?
Would like to help the skin repair as such. She seems to like marmite so am assuming she will take to sups with breads brewers yeast?
The most important treatment for Sweet Itch is to prevent against the midges/flies setting off the allergy in the first place. If you would like specific advice on fly repellants then please contact [email protected].
A supplement like 'Bye Bye Itch' is a good choice to help the skin repair alongside preventing the underlying cause. There are other brands available, such as Dodson & Horrell Itch Free and Science Supplements Skin & Coat. In general these provide nutritional support to the skin, strengthening the skin barrier can help reduce the signs of the allergy.

When and how much do you need to feed in the summer
Bye Bye Itch is designed to be fed to horses & ponies in the months prior to and throughout the season. It can be given through the Winter at a reduced rate. Hilton Herbs supplements should be added to normal feed on a daily basis with the recommended amount being split between two feeds. Introduce gradually as with any new feed or supplement and build up to the maximum amount for your horse or pony's height over a period of several days. Allow 3-4 weeks for the herbs to be completely absorbed by the animal's system.
Here are the recommended feeding amounts:
