A natural Ayurvedic product ranging from amber to a dark purple or brownish black colour hence the name. It is produced by combining the now familiar pink Himalayan rock salt with herbs and spices, including the seed of the black myrobalan tree (harad) which lends a sulphurous flavour to the salt and darkens its colour. Its properties help to support a balanced digestion, maintain healthy eyesight and healthy skin.

This lick does not smell good and my pony who likes salt locks won’t touch it.

As neither of my horses bother with their normal rock salt lick I thought they might like the black Himalayan rock salt but no they won't touch it.

Originally bought for my 23yo Arab but gave to my new addition a mi I Shetland she loves it always licking it even tries to bite chunks of , hopefully she is receiving what she is lacking in from this salt lick.
