Equipalazone contains 1g of phenylbutazone (bute). It is used in the treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions in horses and ponies.
Equipalazone has anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties so it is useful in the treatment of lameness due to arthritis, laminitis, bursitis, carpitis, and also after surgery. It can be given for a short period, or long-term. Usually it is dosed once daily.

This product is a POM-V medication meaning it is prescription only. You will need a written prescription from your vet to purchase this with us. More information can be found here.

Special precautions for storage
Do not store above 25°C. Store in a dry place.
Actual expiry dates will vary depending on what our supplier sends us at the time and will likely be less than 4 years. This product is also a prescription only medication and can only be purchased alongside a veterinary prescription. It has to be prescribed for a certain pet and cannot be 'stocked' for any horse unless you have a veterinary practise license.

Is Bute available in liquid form?
Unfortunately there is no oral liquid version of Phenylbutazone, it's oral form is only found in granules.
