I wanted a silent whistle to distract my dogs from barking in the house when I am there, hopefully to get them out of the habit altogether. The description stated that it was just about audible to the human ear and that it has a pitch control. It is more than just about audible, it is fully audible. It may not be quite as loud as a normal training whistle, but it is too loud to be blowing it indoors. Also I cannot hear any difference in pitch, but maybe that is just me. I was under the impression that silent meant not hearing it at all. Hugely disappointed.
